Police Department Mission

OUR mission is to provide high quality taxpayer police service to the citizens who live in or travel through our city . Our services will include protection of life, protection of freedom and protection of property.

The well being, entitlements and feelings of all victims of crime is important to US. Additionally, WE will lead the men and women of S.P.D. in such a way that "adds to" the quality of life in Saraland and provide a sense of "public safety" and "peace of mind".

Furthermore, WE will treat everyone with respect, dignity, and in a courteous manner. WE also value honesty, ... integrity, ... compassion, ... team work, ... sincerity, and ... justice.

WE will work diligently to provide assertive rule and law enforcement as well as proactive community oriented policing strategies.

Lastly, but equally important to US is the value of our individual members. Working together, WE will promote a healthy, safe, and productive work environment that develops the skills, talents and job knowledge of our police personnel.
