Administration Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Station One and Station Three.

Emergency services are offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Saraland Fire Rescue Department has an Educational Division that can provide on site education for children as well as at risk groups such as senior citizens, and those with disabilites.

In order to have us conduct an on-site class, please e-mail Jeff Ludlam at jludlam@saraland.org. Someone will take your request and have one of our life safety educators call you back to schedule the visit. 

Please give us 2 weeks notice when requesting educational visits. 

Permits are issued at Fire Station 1 located at 716 Saraland Boulevard South during regular business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)  Monday through Friday. The permits are issued for one day, and only one permit may be issued per resident per-month.  Permits are only issued when burning is allowed by ADEM. There is no charge for residental burn permits. Burn permits are not issued during extremely dry or windy weather conditions.

Contractors and those wishing to burn large amounts of debris should come to Fire Station 1 and speak with the on-duty District Chief. We will conduct a site safety visit and once approved a commercial burn permit will be issued. The permit is $100 and good until all approved material is burned. 

The Saraland Fire Rescue Department never charges for Medical Services. These services are paid for through the efficient use of taxes collected by the city. You will incur a charge from the ambulance company that transports you to the hospital.  

The Saraland Fire Rescue Department has Advanced Life Support capabilities on two of it's engine companies. These companies will respond to calls for medical help in the place of a rescue truck when it is assigned to another call. 

Also, due to manpower requirements, we will send an engine comapny and rescue truck to calls for medical assistance that will require Advanced Medical Interventions, including traffic accidents, extrication of patient or transport by a aeromedical helicopter.
